What is an Office Action?
If you have submitted a trademark application in the UK, EU and USA, the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) may alert you to certain legal problems with your chosen trademark by way of an official letter sent by the USPTO known as an Office Action. Your office action will detail the legal problems with the application itself either by raising (“requirements”) requesting for simple revisions or by legal rejections (“refusals”), meaning your application has been refused due to your chosen trademark being too similar to an already registered trademark.
